L'l Haven is an 8'x8'building nestled on the edge of a wooded ravine in Northern Ontario. I hope to share what I see and when I master the techniques required, I hope to share photos too!
She is so very tiny,the size of ones thumb a delicate "Thumbalina" beauty.
Her family line has visited us for several years and is unique with the jet black line of makeup like eyeliner reaching from her outer eyes' edge to the beginning of her fluorescent green head.
She appears to be so frail and yet when another hummingbird tries to enter her area she guards the sugar water feeder like a fierce tiger. I guess it is necessary for the survival of herself and any babies she might have. I hope she brings the babies to the feeder when they are ready.
